Events in 2010
11 January:The whole staff of the Department of Distribution in Business Advisory Services in Narvik celebrated their first anniversary as part of the Brønnøysund Register Centre.
On 21 January, it was 30 years since Bente Lian started working at the Register of Mortgaged Movable Property, together with around ten other former employees of Televerket (the Norwegian Telecommunications Administration).
1 March: We received a visit from Malawi and Norway Registers Development (NRD). The visitors wished to gain insight into how we organise our registers.
15 March: Member of staff Harald Harnang is currently writing a book to mark the 25th anniversary of the Brønnøysund Register Centre. He started working on the book in March 2010 and plans to have it ready for the anniversary celebrations in 2013.
25 March: We started using the Trio Agent telephone system.The system provides better user service and makes life easier for case officers.
27 April: At the Call Centre Days in Oslo, the Brønnøysund Register Centre won the prize for best customer service in the public sector.The centre was the clear winner in its category – the public sector – which comprised eight participants.In all, 73 call centres participated in 12 categories, and the Brønnøysund Register Centre came sixth.
27 May:Well over 100 participants attended the Ramtind conference on Thursday 27 May.This year’s topic was ‘Cooperation, success, communication and possibilities in the land of Himmelblå’.This business and industry conference is an annual event organised by the development company Torgar Næringshage, Brønnøysunds Avis, Helgeland Sparebank, Nordlandsbanken and the Brønnøysund Register Centre.
1 June:A meeting was held of the Brønnøysund Register Centre’s users forum, with 13 external and around ten internal participants.The agenda for the meeting included ‘News from the register departments’ and ‘How to start a business’.
7 June: Event to mark that it is 30 years since the Register of Mortgaged Movable Property was established.The first employees were in place even before then, in autumn 1979, while more employees joined on 1 January 1980. Conversion work was carried out throughout 1980.
15 June:Version 1 of Altinn II is primarily about getting new architecture in place along with a new service development solution that means that the Altinn agencies can produce even better forms and provide better services in future.
On 17 June, Altinn came third in the environmental competition Smartere og grønnere (‘Smarter and greener’), organised by Dagensit.no/DN.no.
25. juni. To young men finished their apprenticeships at the Brønnøysund Register Centre in June.Both were awarded the top grade ‘Passed with distinction’.
29 June: As of Tuesday 29 June, the Brønnøysund Register Centre’s public journals are available online via the Public Electronic Mail Journal (OEP). The journal consists of a collection of document registrations from our archives.
7 July:This year, as before, we organised the Sommeråpent event, a series of open days at which people can visit the centre for information and enjoy a tour of the premises.
20 August: The Brønnøysund Register Centre received visitors from China. They were here on a brief visit and were informed about the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities and the Department of Distribution.
24 August:More than eight out of ten managers in business and industry say that they spend less time on official forms because of Altinn;83.6 per cent of almost 1,500 surveyed managers from business and industry identified with the claim ‘Our enterprise spends less time on public forms through the use of Altinn' in a survey carried out in June and July 2010.This is the first time that the score has exceeded 80 per cent.
16. september. The focus was on collaboration when the Brønnøysund Register Centre and the Ministry of Trade and Industry visited China recently. Altinn’s world-leading eGovernment solutions were presented at World Expo in Shanghai, and meetings were also held with the Chinese version of the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities, Nacao (National Administration for Code Allocation to Organizations).
21 September:The customer service days at the Brønnøysund Register Centre were organised for the third time. The event is becoming a well-established tradition and is part of our efforts to make us even better at receiving and providing good services for customers and users.
25 September:For the second year in a row, our company sports team, Ajour, won the corporate class in the Brustafetten race, a local running event with long traditions.If they win one more time, they will get to keep the cup.
30 September:An increasing number of people choose to send notifications to the Register of Business Enterprises through altinn.no. During September 2010, more than 12,000 online notifications were sent to the Register of Business Enterprises.‘This is the highest number of online notifications that has been received in one month,’ says Assistant Director Sverre Hovland of the Register of Business Enterprises.
13 October:Event to celebrate ten employees with 25 years’ service.They started working for us in 1985 – three years before the Brønnøysund Register Centre was established as a separate agency.
27 October:At a meeting of the executive board of Brønnøy municipality, Mette Siri Brønmo, Communications Director of the Brønnøysund Register Centre, invited Brønnøy municipality to a meeting about a joint communication strategy for a new building for the register centre.
6 November:Eight teams from almost all departments turned up to find out which was the best cannonball, indoor bandy and football team, when the company sports team Ajour organised the first BR Cup.
16 November: The Etablererveileder 2010 (‘Entrepreneur advisers 2010’) conference was held in Oslo. About one hundred advisers from around the country participated and demonstrated great enthusiasm. The conference is a collaboration between the Brønnøysund Register Centre, the City of Oslo's Agency for Business Development Services, Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Patent Office. It is a conference for everyone tasked with advising entrepreneurs in the public and private sector.
14 November: The Brønnøysund Register Centre won the World Quality Commitment Award in the Gold category for quality and excellence.The award ceremony took place in Paris.
25. november. Bevisstgjøring og forankring av seniorpolitikken hos lederne var et sentralt punkt under en seniorsamling som fant sted 25. november. Ett av resultatene var en prøveordning med seniorkoordinator og seniorutvalg.
30 November:The Brønnøysund Register Centre scored very high in this year’s profile survey from Synovate.Synovate asked members of the public for their impression of 83 different agencies and organisations.The Brønnøysund Register Centre came in seventh place for overall impression.
8 December: Lower secondary school pupils from Brønnøysund visited the Brønnøysund Register Centre to learn about the history of the centre and a bit about what we do.
17 December: The Brønnøysund Register Centre moved into new, temporary premises at Salhus in Brønnøy municipality.
The Department of Distribution moved into the premises in December, and in March 2011, the departments of the Register of Mortgaged Movable Property followed suit.
